About Me

Hey, I’m Hannah, a Canadian who has been living in Hamburg since 2014.

I grew up in British Columbia and moved here after finishing my degree in Tourism & Event Management, trading the Pacific for the Elbe.

After years of working in global event marketing, I’m now fully self-employed as a content creator and community manager. Through my main channel, @hannahteslin, I share my lifestyle abroad, from living in Germany, exploring Europe, and spending time back home in Canada. Over on @hannahshamburg, I focus on tips for living in Hamburg, including what to do, where to go, and local events.

I’m also the founder of the BBA Community, supporting international women in Hamburg with resources and networking opportunities to make settling in easier.

When I’m not creating, you’ll usually find me walking to a new coffee shop, trying something new, or planning my next trip.

So, how did you end up in Germany?

'Wherever you go, there you are' is a favourite quote of mine. Sometimes, I really do think - how did I end up here? Love is what brought me here initially, but even though the relationship didn’t work out - my love of Germany is what made me stay. I can now say, I have made tons of opportunities for myself and I don't regret a single minute. Now my focus is inspiring others on their journeys in Germany or abroad.
